domestic violence service provider in New Jersey

ABOUT DIRECTION 2 HOPE

Direction 2 Hope is a well-established nonprofit organization committed to supporting women and children impacted by domestic violence and sex trafficking. Our mission is to end domestic violence and sex trafficking, with every action we take focused on providing freedom and healing for survivors.

Direction 2 Hope is dedicated to ending domestic violence and sex trafficking through a two-pronged approach:

  1. Ensuring the safety of victims

  2. Holding offenders accountable

We are committed to caring for the most vulnerable, ensuring their safety, and supporting them at every stage of their journey to escape domestic violence and sex trafficking. Our services are personalized, not one-size-fits-all. That's why we offer a wide range of resources, from shelters and transitional housing to counseling and legal aid. We are dedicated to meeting survivors wherever they are on their journey.

As part of our lifelong mission, we are committed to driving change at every level—transforming the distribution of power in relationships, shifting the blame where it belongs, and redefining how the system responds.

Our Prevention Team will collaborate with school districts to prevent and reduce dating violence and bullying through evidence-based programs.

We are committed to ensuring that every woman in New Jersey feels safe and supported in her relationship, and we won’t stop until that goal is achieved.

"I never thought I could escape the nightmare I was living in. Direction 2 Hope gave me the courage and the tools I needed to start over. The shelter provided safety and warmth when I had nowhere else to go, and the counseling sessions helped me begin to heal. For the first time in years, I feel hopeful about my future and my children’s future. I’m so grateful for everything this organization has done for us."
